Placeproof

Production control note

How should guest names be proofed for seating materials?

Compare display names against an authorized roster, review spelling, punctuation, diacritics, titles, suffixes, preferred forms, repeated names, and sort order, then inspect every rendered output at physical size with another person.

Preserve Unicode

Do not remove accents or rewrite names merely to simplify sorting. A separate sort name can preserve display spelling. Preserve the owner’s authoritative source outside the browser project and label every assumption that remains unverified.

Repeated names need human context

The app can flag normalized duplicates but cannot choose a respectful qualifier or determine whether two records represent one person. Review the result as production evidence, not as a recommendation or professional approval; the responsible people remain accountable for the decision.

Proof all output families

A correct roster can still render differently on finder lists, cards, tables, and staff sheets. Carry this limitation into the proof and handoff so a fresh recipient knows what changed, what was checked, and what still requires human confirmation.
