Production control note

What is the difference between a seating chart, escort card, and place card?

A seating chart or finder display helps guests locate a table, an escort card gives one guest or party a portable table or seat destination, and a place card marks a setting at the table; the right combination depends on the event and operational plan.

Each format changes differently

A large single chart can require a broad reprint, while modular cards or per-table panels may limit the replacement set. Preserve the owner’s authoritative source outside the browser project and label every assumption that remains unverified.

Do not treat terminology as universal

Hosts, stationers, venues, and regions may use the terms differently. Confirm the actual artifact and guest journey. Review the result as production evidence, not as a recommendation or professional approval; the responsible people remain accountable for the decision.

Design follows operations

Arrival flow, accessibility, lighting, language, staffing, weather, display space, and event size need human review outside this tool. Carry this limitation into the proof and handoff so a fresh recipient knows what changed, what was checked, and what still requires human confirmation.
