What is a seating print-lock deadline?
It is the owner-recorded date and time after which a seating change may require rush production, vendor coordination, manual correction, or acceptance of a stale physical artifact; the software displays timing but does not set or enforce vendor policy.
Work backward from reality
Ask the actual printer, stationer, venue, or coordinator for production, shipping, setup, and correction deadlines. Preserve the owner’s authoritative source outside the browser project and label every assumption that remains unverified.
Separate data lock and print lock
A caterer’s head-count deadline, venue operations deadline, and stationery print deadline may be different. Review the result as production evidence, not as a recommendation or professional approval; the responsible people remain accountable for the decision.
Do not call a timestamp confirmation
Recording a lock date does not prove that a vendor received, accepted, or produced the files. Carry this limitation into the proof and handoff so a fresh recipient knows what changed, what was checked, and what still requires human confirmation.
