Placeproof

Production control note

Which place cards need reprinting after a seating change?

Reprint cards whose display name, attendance, seat label, table assignment, or guest-facing note changed, plus any cards affected by a global print-setting change; staff-only notes alone should not change guest-facing cards.

Do not leak operations fields

Party labels, tags, service codes, and staff notes should remain absent from place-card HTML unless the project deliberately creates another reviewed staff artifact. Preserve the owner’s authoritative source outside the browser project and label every assumption that remains unverified.

Treat removal separately

A declined guest may require physically removing an already printed card rather than generating a replacement. Review the result as production evidence, not as a recommendation or professional approval; the responsible people remain accountable for the decision.

Check long and repeated names

Automated length and duplicate-name warnings identify review targets but cannot choose a respectful differentiator or final type treatment. Carry this limitation into the proof and handoff so a fresh recipient knows what changed, what was checked, and what still requires human confirmation.
