How do escort cards help with late seating changes?
Because each escort card is a separate guest-facing item, a cancellation may require removing one card and a move may require replacing only that guest’s card, while the finder and affected table sheets still need reconciliation.
Escort and place are different jobs
An escort card directs a guest to a table or seat from an entry display; a place card identifies the setting at the table. A project may use one or both. Preserve the owner’s authoritative source outside the browser project and label every assumption that remains unverified.
Sort for retrieval
Alphabetical order and an explicit sort name reduce entry congestion and ambiguity, especially for prefixes, suffixes, households, and repeated names. Review the result as production evidence, not as a recommendation or professional approval; the responsible people remain accountable for the decision.
Inspect the real stock
Card dimensions, duplex alignment, folds, crop, finish, and printer tolerances remain outside browser preview. Carry this limitation into the proof and handoff so a fresh recipient knows what changed, what was checked, and what still requires human confirmation.
